Broker FAQ’s

Our end-to-end service | $545+GST per application

We want to support brokers throughout the entire loans process, which means taking on all the administrative tasks which accompany each part of the loans process.

Depending on your aggregator will depend on how your process starts, which you can discuss with Sam in your initial chat. The below outlines the most common process we take with most of our brokers. 

  • STAGE 1 - PACKAGING
  • We require the Broker to complete the following broker tasks before we start packaging an application:
  • Qualify your customer and take the necessary steps to complete your aggregator compliance requirements and best interest duty, select the lender and product and confirm the customer is happy to proceed.
  • Provide us with your Broker/Loan Notes and any supporting documents you have received from your customer.
  • Once instructed to start on your application, Powerhouse will finalise the CRM and complete Apply Online/LoanApp/Lender Portal.
  • Powerhouse will request additional supporting documents from the customer directly, generate and send loan application forms, credit assessment and discharge forms to the customer for signing.
  • Powerhouse can assist you with the following if required:
  • Prepare FHOG/FHLDS forms
  • Order valuations
  • Submit pricing requests (selected lender only)
  • Prepare a servicing calculator (if you have not done so already on your selected lender)
  • Generate credit reports from Broker’s aggregator software
  • Once the customer returns the signed credit assessment and application forms, we will finalise the application and advise you that the application is ready for review and submission.
  • STAGE 2 – FILE FOLLOW UP
  • Powerhouse will complete:
  • All lender, solicitor and conveyancer follow up from submission to settlement, including updating milestones in Broker CRM if applicable
  • Provide the customer with regular updates
  • Missing information requests: Powerhouse will liaise with the customer to obtain any outstanding information required from the bank. If the missing information is credit critical, we will liaise with the broker to work out the best course of action.
  • STAGE 3 - APPROVAL
  • Powerhouse will email the customer the formal approval letter and outline the next steps.
  • Powerhouse will complete all associated tasks for the Discharge and make sure the OFI is ready for settlement.
  • Powerhouse can assist customers with Loan Documents sign up over the phone, or if they are local to our office, they can come in and sign with us.
  • STAGE 4 – SETTLEMENT
  • Powerhouse will liaise with all parties to make the file ready for settlement and advise the customer once settlement is booked.
  • STAGE 5 – POST SETTLEMENT
  • Powerhouse will complete post settlement tasks such as:
  • One Fixed rate expiry follow up
  • One Variable rate follow up
  • Construction Tracking until construction completion
